Now Military Officers Demand 9/11 Truth.

Freedom Plaza: Peace and War

The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth: yet another group of patriotic Americans joins the cry for 9/11 justice.
Having looked over the different accounts of events surrounding the “terror” attack on the Twin Towers on 9/11, my personal conclusion is probably the same as that of many thousands of others: there’s something VERY fishy about the whole thing.
In fact, it stinks to high heaven. The official account of events has more holes in it than a colander and one has to be studiously refusing to LOOK in order to accept it without question. It looks increasingly as if 9/11 was the handiwork of criminals within a corrupt and venal establishment and engineered so as to create a pretext for war.
I won’t bore you with yet another account of the watershed day in our world’s history. There is plenty on the internet for you to get your teeth into. In fact there is a staggering amount of data that suggests we may have witnessed an atrocity and cover- up of monumental proportions, which very oddly – or perhaps predictably, depending on your point of view - never finds its way into the mainstream propaganda sheets.
The outcry on the matter seems to be gathering momentum quite rapidly, so much so that even sections of the U.S. military have joined the call for truth And the military is not exactly renowned for questioning the powers that be even when, as in Iraq, the powers that be (whoever they are) have used them most horribly and cynically.
U.S. military officers have now launched their own 9/11 truth group, with a petition and a new website to let the world know they also support a new investigation into the 9/11 events. You will find a link to their website at the Freedom Plaza home page.
Commanders, Colonels and Lieutenant Colonels from the all branches of the US military have already signed the aforementioned petition and I would encourage you to check out their website and forward the information therein to anyone you know who is in the military or associated with the military and encourage them to support this new push for an investigation and, hopefully, get them to sign the petition.
This does not presuppose what a proper judicial investigation might find; it merely requests that a proper investigation be done as the decent people of America and indeed this planet deserve nothing less than the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Certainly in other areas of life, other crimes, people have been arrested and investigated (and either cleared or indicted) on a whole lot less suspicion that that surrounding 9/11. Are there people here who are above the laws that apply to the rest of us? For all our sakes, I hope not.
This would of course require that such an investigation be truly impartial and empowered to request and receive evidence from whomsoever it desires. It cannot be a governmental investigation as the government itself, or officials thereof, along with certain large corporations (that have done very nicely out of the catastrophe and the ensuing, hurriedly convened, war) are implicated in the alleged crimes.
No-one whose hands are clean on the matter should have any problem with a truly impartial investigation and it will be interesting to see who drags their feet, prevaricates, makes excuses, wrangles and generally tries to make sure an investigation never happens or if it happens is not truly impartial because right there you are looking at men with something to hide.
It s an observable strategy at present of the “powers that be” (big business, psychiatry, big pharma and their paid proxies in government) that they do pretty much as they like, when they like, to whom they like and pass any law that suits them, quite brazenly. The people can holler and scream all they like (those that are still awake enough to notice something is awful wrong and their freedoms are being taken away systematically) but what the hell you gonna do about it bud?
If you refuse to obey some law that you disagree with and which was passed so as to further pharmaceutical profits, for example, well they can send in the police to arrest you or the army to shoot you if you really start to kick us a fuss.
While they have governments and other criminal operations in their pockets and while they can always call in the police or the army (they think) to crack the whip should the citizenry start to get upset at being used and abused so shamelessly, what can anybody do?
But that presupposes the military, the police and so forth (and maybe the odd politician that still has a shred of integrity) will remain content to accept being used as mercenaries for corporate interests. After all, the soldiers, police officers and so on of any nation are also citizens and also lose their freedoms, are also lied to and manipulated, drugged and subject to a suppression of their standard of living and quality of life and they also have kids whose futures, if things are allowed to go on as they are, are going to be very bleak under a new corporate tyranny.
From this side of the Atlantic, I know there is growing unrest in the military at the way they have been used to further corporate interests in Iraq and Afghanistan and I imagine that the unrest in the US military is even greater. Certainly this new move by military officers with a social conscience suggests that cracks are beginning to appear.
After all, the nation’s soldiers conceive themselves as serving the people, defending their interests and safeguarding their security, as knights errant bringing civilisation to the world. It is becoming increasingly evident that those decent motivations have been cynically manipulated so as to serve far less noble interests.
My instinct is that when it comes to an outright choice and they have to decide – and that day is coming – whether they are on the side of the citizenry (their families, friends, neighbours and so forth) or some scheming criminals who do not care whom they drug, kill, poison or ruin as long as they make a buck, the corporate imperialists will find that the military will not side with them.
They will side with their fellow citizens.
