Did You Know?

by Kieron McFadden

This is the first in my series of articles on psychiatry and the psychiatric assault human rights. It is my pleasure to play my small part in bringing psychiatry's crimes to your attention.

That 17 MILLION children worldwide are now on highly addictive, mind altering psychiatric drugs.

That before drugs became the main stock-in-trade of psychiatric interventions in the early 1950s, the mentally ill were statistically LESS violent than the general population.

That more than 100,000 people die every year in psychiatric institutions. This is an annual death toll MANY TIMES the death toll from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan combined.

Up to 10,000 people die every year during electic schock treatment. Electric shock is a controversial process much protested by human rights groups and even many psychiatrists that involves searing the delicate tissues of the brain by passing electricity through it. One psychiatrist reported it to have a therapeutic effect similar to whacking one's head with a baseball bat. It is outlawed in many countries. In some countries however it remains legal and is considered a profitable intervention by many practitioners.

That more than 250,000 people have complained either to the authorities or to psychiatric watchdog groups of being sexually abused by psychiatrists and psychologists. Many prosecutions and convictions have resulted.

That approximately 100,000 Americans are reported to have died from "antipsychotic" psychiatric drugs. Again, this compares dismally with the death toll of many major wars.

Most, if not all, of the crazed schoolyard or workplace rampages resulting in many deaths that have produced such lurid headlines in the media these past years were perpetrated by individuals on psychiatric medication. Many psychiatric drugs list suicidal ideation, depression and rage or aggression among their side-effetcs.

That every 75 SECONDS another citizen is incarcerated without trial and simply on the opinion of a psychiatrist that the person should be incarcerated. No evidence, diagnostic criteria or court appearance are required.

That deaths from just one psychiatric drug abuse treatment increased 710% in one 10-year period.

That thousands have been killed by terrorists under the influence of psychiatric drugs or mind control techniques.

That violent crime has increased 147% with psychiatry in the justice system.

That up to $47 billion has been spent on failed community mental health programs in the United States.

That up to $40 billion is defrauded each year in the United States by the mental health industry.

That antidepressant sales worldwide are alone more than $20 BILLION. Well, that explains as lot.......
