Okay, so we have been conned but more importantly our children have been needlessly harmed. What is now steadily coming to light is the shocking truth that so-called ADHD is safely handled by proper nutrition, not wrecking the child’s brain and nervous system with drugs.
Unfortunately the drugs prescribed to treat ADHD, aside from being unnecessary because so-called "ADHD" can ONLY be truly handled without drugs, have nightmare side effects. The side effects can be pretty horrific and why anyone would want to do this to children – and why our government does not seem to care enough to put a stop to it - is beyond me as it amounts in my view to some pretty evil child abuse.
Be that as it may, we have become nevertheless a civilization that routinely buys into the pharmaceutical paradigm that drugs and debilitates its future generations and no civilization can survive such stupidity however much the aspiring enslavers and herdsmen of a docile and stultified humanity kid themselves otherwise.
But if ADHD is not a mental disorder, what exactly is it? What are the symptoms that are bundled together and mis-labelled a brain disease actually the symptoms of? And if we do not need drugs to treat the phenomenon, what can and should we do?
Well, there is a strong link between the consumption of food additives and other poisons by children -- especially food colourings -- and ADHD. Well-informed parents and doctors know that the consumption of food additives, refined sugar and so forth and various food allergies cause hyperactivity in children.
Indeed this is now so widely known that it comes as a constant surprise to discover doctors who still do not themselves comprehend the effect on physical and mental health caused by what we eat and who exhibit a lack of knowledge of nutrition that is both astounding and indeed somewhat alarming. It does little to dispel one’s dismay to understand that that ignorance derives from the inordinate influence exerted by the vested interests known as pharmaceutical corporations over modern medicine, and that the lives and futures of children are being sacrificed on the altar of corporate profits.
It is not just food additives and artificial colourings that cause the behavioural symptoms labelled ADHD. There are actually several substances, which find their way into the child’s body via the food he or she eats that heavily influence a child's mental state and behaviour. Perhaps a new label for ADHD would be more apt: dietary poisons reaction syndrome (DPRS) perhaps? Or nutrition-derived behavioural difficulty (NDBD)? These might be a little clumsy and not very smooth but they more appropriately describe what is actually happening with the child.
How what we – or in this case our children – eat affects mood and behaviour is not that hard to comprehend. Indeed it is so straightforward a concept one wonders how psychiatry manages not to grasp it. The human brain, like any other organ, is strongly influenced by blood chemistry. In other words, what we eat determines our blood’s composition and our blood’s composition determines the way our brain functions. In short, if we eat poisonous rubbish then a certain amount of that poisonous rubbish, assimilated into the body, is going to wind up in the brain and affect how the brain works. The brain is no different to any other organ: if you poison it, and to the degree that you poison it, it is not going to work so well.
Of course there are other factors affecting our mood, sense of well being and behaviour, such as how much exercise we get, the behaviour of others around us and so on but the largest and most insidious factor of all is dietary.
When we eat processed foods that contain additives and artificial colours, we introduce toxic chemicals into our bloodstream. Those chemicals find their way into the brain and alter brain function and this affects how we behave.
Just one of the ways behaviour can be affected is to cause those symptoms mis-labelled as ADHD, the hyperactivity, agitation or shortened attention span observed in some children.
The solution then is to address the CAUSE - diet, not to compound the felony by feeding the child drugs. More on this in my next article on ADHD.
